Straw Bale Pavilion
International competition _ Finalist

Chosen as one of the five finalists, this project envisions a prefabricated wooden pavilion, designed for versatile use. Its rectangular form draws inspiration from the timeless archetype of the prostyle temple, with a single cell, blending modularity, sustainability, and contemporary elegance. Built with a wooden frame and straw masonry, the structure is both ephemeral and adaptable, capable of being dismantled and reimagined in new locations, in harmony with the competition’s vision. The pavilion offers a sheltered space for council meetings, while a generous outdoor area invites future users to connect with nature, even when the weather does not permit.
